Voluntary project, which helps teach children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old in Leymebamba, near Chachapoyas in the Amazonas state of Peru. Volunteers will be asked to bring donations for the kindergarten & children, according to what is required at the time of their arrival (& in line with their budget). Leymebamba is located near Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region of Peru. There are many archaeological sites and other places of interest to visit nearby. It is an area little visited by tourists, but interest in the region is growing. In your free time you can visit the Lake of the Condors, Revash, Congona, Petaca and Kuelap. The countryside is mountainous and there are several different climatic zones: mountains (cold), valleys (rainy) and jungle (hot and humid). It is perfect for taking long walks and horse rides. You can get here by bus from Chachapoyas or Cajamarca... its a long ride, but well worth it!
