Required Skills:He/she should be qualified in an area that is not common in Zambia so that the application for a work-permit will be easy, e.g. forensic environmentalist, anthropologist, ornithologist, entomologist, nematoligist.

He/she should be extraverted, innovative and have good communication and motivational skills. A good command of English is important, French is very useful and other languages can be helpful.

He/she will need to have good laptop and have computer skills in order to help generating proposals and budgets

Additional Info:WeForest, with its partner Rainlandsin Zambia is happy to propose the following internship

Support provided
We will endeavor to find donor funding for air ticket to Zambia and return after two years. If no funding available Rainlands will pay.
Rainlands will pay USD 1500 per year for medical to medivac to South Africa in emergency (advisable that if extra required, the facilitator contributes)
Rainlands will supply accommodation and USD 300 per month for food and incidentals.
Rainlands will supply transport or cost of travel
Bonus as the CDM develops and a good salary can be afforded plus Bonus on percentage of grant or profit

The intern will be responsible for
Developing the CDM on SawdustER stoves production
Developing Permaculture training manuals
Assisting and training (once comfortable with the content and issues)
Assisting the Wildlife & Environment Society of Zambia and WeForest with the development and setting up of Chembe and other projects
Facilitating and training the monitors on the ground through satellite global monitoring systems
Planting trees, coordinating compost and seedling production
Coordinating out grower planting and monitoring
Assisting in the sawmill and nursery when the manager is away
